Point Whitehorn Park is a beautiful reserve with bluff and beach, 54 forest acres, views of the San Juans and the Strait of Georgia. The popular Point Whitehorn Trail gives great views from the bluff and leads to a rocky windswept beach. The trail is considered easy with a very small section some consider moderate. All stunning and worth the 0.8 mile trip.

Semiahmoo has a beautiful walking and jogging trial along miles of beach that offers a salmon cannery museum. This county park offers one of the best paved walking trails in Whatcom County. The museum offers a fun insight on processing and packing Alaskan Salmon. The park has beaches on both Semiahmoo and Drayton Harbor. Drayton Harbor is a popular fishing spot during fishing season.
Birch Bay State Park is a 194-acre Washington state park located in Whatcom County. The park has a beautiful saltwater shoreline on Birch Bay as well as freshwater shoreline along Terrell Creek. Recreational opportunities include camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, crabbing, clamming, and boating.
